How do you poop after taking Imodium?
If you have constipation with Imodium, stop taking the drug. Constipation may last for a few days after you take Imodium, but it typically goes away on its own. And drinking plenty of water can help ease constipation. However, if you have constipation that doesn’t improve after a few days, see your doctor.

Camptosar Injection (irinotecan hydrochloride) is an antineoplastic (anticancer) medication used to treat cancers of the colon and rectum. Camptosar Injection is usually given with other cancer medicines in combination chemotherapy. Camptosar Injection is available in generic form.
How do you use irinotecan?
Irinotecan comes as a liquid to be given over 90 minutes intravenously (into a vein) by a doctor or nurse. It is usually given not more often than once a week, according to a schedule that alternates one or more weeks when you receive irinotecan with one or more weeks when you do not receive the medication.

How long does Imodium (Loperamide) last? The amount of time Imodium stays in your system depends on multiple factors, such as the dosage, age, weight and how long it is taken. On average, Imodium half-life is approximately 11 hours but can range between 9 and 14 hours.
What should you not take with IMODIUM?
There may be an interaction between loperamide and any of the following:
- abiraterone.
- alcohol.
- amiodarone.
- anti-psychotics (e.g., chlorpromazine, clozapine, haloperidol, olanzapine, quetiapine, risperidone)
- “azole” antifungals (e.g., fluconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole)
- barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital, butalbital)

Never take Imodium if you have abdominal pain without diarrhea. Imodium isn’t approved for use in this situation. Depending on the cause of your pain, taking Imodium could make the pain worse.

In six published phase II trials, irinotecan (CPT-II; Camptosar; Pharmacia & Upjohn Co, Kalamazoo, MI) has demonstrated consistent activity with response rates of approximately 13% to 27% in patients with advanced colorectal cancer (CRC) refractory to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) therapy.
How is Camptosar given?
This medication is given by infusion through a vein (intravenously, IV). There is no pill form of this medication.

The mean duration of symptoms is 30 minutes and they usually respond rapidly to atropine. Delayed-type diarrhea is defined as diarrhea occurring more than 24 hours after administration of irinotecan and is noncumulative and occurs at all dose levels.
