What is SIRIM label?
The SIRIM label provides customer with assurance that the product meets the quality requirements of the specified standard of specification, and that the product is a genuine product supplied to customer directly from manufacturer.
What is SIRIM type approval?
MALAYSIA SIRIM Certification Application ( Type Approval) Type Approval is a mandatory requirement for a communications product before it is allowed to be sold in Malaysia. SIRIM QAS International is the sole certifying agency appointed by Malaysia authority.

- Get username/password from dagangnet (COA have to apply using epermit online system) Visit http://epermit.dagangnet.com.my.
- Fill in all needed information with attached Bill of lading, packing list, mill certificate (English words) and invoice.
- SIRIM will issue quotation.

Why do I need a SIRIM label?
Based on system No. 5, the Certification Mark granted under this scheme proves that your product has undergone assessment and supervision. For specific products regulated by the Malaysian authorities, finished products require additional SIRIM Label with unique serial numbers. Provide assurances of safety and reliability to users of your products.
What products need to be SIRIM certified?
Some regulated products in Malaysia such as electrical appliances, communications and multimedia equipment, and motorcyclist helmets must be affixed with SIRIM labels. Some non-regulated products may also be certified by SIRIM QAS International and affixed with SIRIM labels.
What is the SIRIM certification mark?
Products bearing the SIRIM certification mark demonstrates product compliance with national or international standards. Thus, it provides the user with an assurance for safety and reliability. The certification mark shall be applied directly to each certified product except where the physical characteristics of the products do not permit.
