Do you have to pay for seats on Jetstar?

How much does it cost to change the date of your flight?
Switching up an itinerary can be a costly affair, with all major U.S. carriers charging at least a $75 fee for domestic flight changes. For the three biggies — Delta, American and United — it’s a flat-out $200 penalty. Add that on top of an increase in fare, and you’re going to end up really shelling out.
Is Jetstar a full service airline?

Why can’t I check-in online with Jetstar?

Do Jetstar seat families together?
We do our best to seat families together when we allocate seating and we’ll make sure that young children are seated with a parent or guardian, but we can’t guarantee you’ll be all together. That’s why it’s best to select your seats when you book your flights.
Can I change my flight date?
You can adjust your travel plans without any change fees — including for award tickets — for flights within the U.S., or for international travel originating in the U.S. This applies to most United Economy® and all premium cabin tickets. You’ll just pay the fare difference if your new flight is more expensive.
Is Jetstar or Qantas better?
So, if you’re looking for a low-cost, no-frills experience without baggage or food, the Jetstar starter fare is the way to go. However, if service, baggage and in-flight meals and entertainment are important to you, then Qantas is a better choice.
Where are Jetstar planes serviced?
Jetstar carries 8.5% of all passengers travelling in and out of Australia. The airline operates an extensive domestic network as well as regional and international services from its main base at Melbourne Airport, using a mixed fleet of the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
What to do after you check-in online?
Once you’ve completed the check-in process, you can print your boarding pass, have it emailed to you (so you can show it at the airport on your mobile device), or access it in a mobile app. If you don’t have access to a printer or a smartphone, you can print your boarding pass once you get to the airport as well.
