Are AK-47 parts interchangeable?
Many of the countries that make AKs do so under contract with access to Russian specs. But also, many others do not and may have reverse-engineered their AKs. Because of this, most parts should be interchangeable — but not always, as it depends on the source of the parts.
Where do AK parts kits come from?
According to the company, all components of these kits are made in the USA. Most of the parts are made by Circle 10 AK themselves but some are outsourced from other US manufacturers. All outsourced parts are exclusively made for these kits.
What is headspace AK?
The headspacing on an AK Rifle is measured in 1/1000 of an inch. The “safe space” measuring between 1/1000 and 11/1000 of an inch. Less than that measurement AND MORE than that measurement is an unsafe amount of space.

What is a field headspace gauge?
Field gauges are essential tools for ensuring a safe chamber on used rifles. Slightly longer then a No-Go gauge, the Field gauge is used to measure the absolute maximum allowable, safe chamber headspace. If the bolt closes on a No-Go gauge, the Field gauge is used for an additional check.
